Terms of Use & End-User License Agreement

Last updated August 27, 2026

This agreement is between you and SoloVoice (“we”) and covers the SoloVoice and SoloVoice Satellite plug-ins, the included PatchWork templates, and the manual (together, “the Software”). Installing or activating the Software means you accept it.

1. What you are buying

You are buying a license to use the Software, not the Software itself. The license is non-exclusive and non-transferable. Two editions exist: SoloVoice (the conductor plug-in) and SoloVoice Orchestra (the conductor plus the SoloVoice Satellite). One license key covers whichever edition you bought.

2. What you may do

3. What you may not do

If a license key is found in circulation or used beyond these limits, we may deactivate it.

4. Updates and support

All version 1.x updates are free for the life of the 1.x line. Support is by email at [email protected]. Paid upgrades (for example from SoloVoice to SoloVoice Orchestra, or a future major version) are sold separately.

5. Requirements and third-party products

The Software is a VST3 plug-in for macOS and needs a VST3 host, an audio interface, a microphone, and a sound-producing instrument on the other side. Blue Cat’s PatchWork is the recommended host, and the big-band template requires Divisimate Core and SWAM instruments, all sold separately by their makers. Band-in-a-Box, PatchWork, Divisimate, SWAM, and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners, used for identification only; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

6. Ownership

The Software, its design, its scale and voicing logic, and the SoloVoice name and marks belong to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. The CC20–24 announce protocol used between the conductor and satellites is published openly in the manual and may be implemented freely by others.

7. No warranty

The Software is provided “as is.” We have tested it carefully, and we describe what it does honestly, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors, that it will work with every host or plug-in, or that it will meet every need. Real-time pitch tracking depends on your microphone, room, and signal chain. To the fullest extent the law allows, all other warranties, express or implied, are excluded. Your remedy if the Software is not right for you is the refund described in our Refund Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising from the Software or this agreement is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost recordings, lost work, or lost performances.

9. Ending the license

The license lasts until you stop using the Software or until it is terminated for breach of section 3. On termination you must delete all copies. Sections 6 through 10 survive.

10. General

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. This is the entire agreement about the Software; it replaces anything said elsewhere. Questions: [email protected].
